The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Salzburg is pleased to once again offer an exclusive opportunity for students in 2025: Participation in the renowned Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change. The event will take place from July 14 to 30, 2025 at the historic Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, Austria.
What is the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change?
The Salzburg Academy is a global program for emerging leaders in the fields of media, innovation and social change. Each year, over 70 students and media professors from international universities gather to discuss the future of media and its role in society with experts, industry leaders and media professionals.
The central topic in 2025: The importance of local media in democratic societies and innovative media models in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

Who can apply?
Students of the University of Salzburg with an interest in media, communication, social change or related fields are cordially invited to apply. A very good command of English is required. Applications from different academic and professional backgrounds are expressly encouraged!
