DCLead Salzburg School 2025
🌐 Take part in the first DCLead Salzburg School: “Digital Communication and Sustainable Societies: Global Perspectives for the Benefit of All”. 🌐
Organized by the DCLead consortium in collaboration with the Euromedia Research Group, this four-day programme (29 September – 2 October 2025) will take place in Puchberg, Upper Austria. It is aimed at early career researchers (PhD and advanced Master students) who wish to expand their knowledge and sharpen their 🎓 academic skills.
Program overview
- Monday, September 29, 2025 (afternoon):
- Opening event and keynote speech 1.
- Tuesday, September 30, 2025:
- Student presentations in the morning.
- Afternoon excursion to Linz with a visit to the Ars Electronica Center and the Pöstlingberg.
- Wednesday, October 1, 2025:
- Summary of the student sessions.
- Keynote 2 followed by a discussion.
- Two roundtable sessions on specific topics.
- Social evening.
- Thursday, October 2, 2025:
- Excursion to Salzburg with a visit to the Gaisberg.
Special highlights of the program
🟣 Detailed feedback on your research: Present your doctoral or master’s project and receive constructive feedback from experts and peers. 🟣 Workshop on digital methods: Improve existing skills and discover new approaches. 🟣 Keynotes and roundtables: gain insights into current academic debates and get tips on everyday academic life 🟣 Social activities and cultural excursions: Network with other researchers and experience the local culture.
The program is conducted in English and awards 5 ECTS credits. A good command of English is required to actively participate in the program.
Participation fees
- Participants from high-income countries: €490
- Participants from low-income countries: €250
Fees include full board, accommodation in a shared double room (single room upgrade available for an additional €100 for three nights) and all scheduled excursions.
Application process
Interested parties can apply until March 30, 2025. There are only 20 places available and the selected participants will be notified by April 11, 2025.
The application must include:
- An abstract on the research (3,000-6,000 characters)
- A letter of motivation (up to 5,000 characters)
- Contact details of a reference person
