Registration for the courses SoSe 2025

Registration for all courses takes place exclusively via the PLUSonline study management system. According to the ranking procedure, you can only register for the waiting list. The allocation of places according to the ranking procedure takes place on MondayFebruary 21, 2025.

Registration period for lectures (VO), lectures with exercises (VU)
Mon, 12.02.2025, from 19.00 – Fri, 30.03.2025, 23.59

Registration period for proseminars (PS):
Thu., 06.02.2025, from 19.00 – Sun., 20.02.2025, 23.59

Registration period for Conversatories (KO) and Exercises (UE)
Fri, 07.02.2025, from 19.00 – Sun, 20.02.2025, 23.59

Registration period for seminars (SE), practical courses (PR) and tutorials with lectures (UV):
Sat., 08.02.2025, from 19.00 – Sun., 20.02.2025, 23.59

Please note the staggered times for registering for the individual courses in PLUSonline! The allocation of places according to the ranking procedure takes place on Monday, February 21, 2024.

Students who are registered for a course with continuous assessment (= all courses except VO/VU) and do not attend on the first date of the course will be deregistered by the course instructor. Independent deregistration by students is only possible during the registration period (February 6 to February 20, 2024), thereafter please contact the secretary’s office or the respective course instructor.

Admission requirements

ATTENTION: PLUSonline automatically checks whether you fulfill the respective admission requirements when you register for the courses with immanent examinations:

Bachelor

Admission requirement for all courses with the exception of the basic courses (1-3):
The positive completion of the Studies Induction and Orientation Phase (STEOP).

Admission requirements for seminars and Bachelor’s seminars (SE):
Positive completion of modules 1-4; for BA seminars positive completion of modules 1-8 (except KO Reflexion Praxis and SE Forschungsfelder 4).

Admission requirements for courses in Module 4:
Successful completion of Methods 1 is a prerequisite for participation in Methods 2. Participation in Methods 3 (Quantitative Communication Research) requires completion of both Methods 1 and Statistics BA.

Master’s programme

Admission prerequisite for the UE In-depth empirical research:
Positive completion of the module examination (Module 1).

Admission requirements for Module 6 (Master):
Positive completion of the module examination (Module 1) as well as KO Key Texts and VU Statistics MA.

Admission requirements for projects:
Part 1 of the project (UE Project – Part 1) can already be attended in the first semester of the Master’s degree course. The prerequisite for participation in SE Project – Part 3 is the positive completion of Parts 1 and 2.
