Franka Bergmann has been studying Communication Studies in the Master’s program since October 2023 and has been supporting the Division Center for ICT&S as a student assistant since October 2024. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Management at the University of Erfurt. As part of her Bachelor’s thesis, she worked with a research group on promoting media literacy among young people with regard to disinformation and deepfakes, in cooperation with the Thuringian State Media Authority. Alongside her studies, Franka worked for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk for two years. Her research interests lie at the intersection of communication, technology and society, with a particular focus on the role of artificial intelligence and its social impact.
