Two study assistant positions available in the ETHNOFARM research project!
The interdisciplinary research project ETHNOFARM – Generational Dynamics and AgriTech Transformation investigates how digital technologies are changing agriculture – from the perspective of the actors involved. Corinna Peil and Ricarda Drüeke are looking for two study assistants (10 hours/week) to support them from March 1, 2025.
About the project
ETHNOFARM researches digitalization in agriculture with a special focus on generational dynamics. The focus is on farmers of different age groups and their experiences with digital technologies.
Your tasks:
✔ Literature research on digitalization and agriculture ✔ Support in the empirical study with a focus on farmers ✔ Preparation and implementation of interviews with members of different generations on the farm ✔ Participation in the analysis and preparation of the research results ✔ Support in project management
Your profile:
✔ Studies related to the social sciences (e.g. communication science, sociology, cultural studies, agricultural sociology) ✔ Experience with qualitative methods, especially interviews ✔ Interest in digitalization, agriculture and generational research ✔ Communication and teamwork skills ✔ A connection to agriculture in Austria is desirable ✔ Independent and flexible way of working
General conditions:
📅 Start: March 1, 2025 ⏳ Duration: 12 months ⏳ Scope: 10 hours/week 💰 Payment: According to collective agreement
